The Col du Tourmalet, the most ridden pass in the history of the Tour de France, over 80 times, first used in the 1910 Tour when Octave Lapize became the first to crest and go on to win the tour. The souvenir Jacques Goddet is awarded to the first rider to cross the summit when it is used in the Tour in honour of the former Tour directeur from 1936-1987.
